Hi, thanks for stopping by. My name is Bob, and this is my Cadillac, Suzy. I want to tell you why she’s here, and not in some dirty, lonesome junk yard.

Suzy was born (manufactured) in 1994. A friend of mine saw her smooth lines, fabulous grill, and custom top, and immediately made her his own. She spent most of the next seven years in a comfortable, air conditioned garage in Florida, and only got out for fifty-eight thousand miles of road time.

One day, in 2001, my friend told me he needed the garage for a new acquisition and would I like to have Suzy; I jumped at the chance. I had secretly loved her and never dreamed that someday she would be mine.

Traveling with Suzy was wonderful, and we took good care of each other; until one day the unthinkable happened. On a beautiful sunny morning in February 2009, we were suddenly torn apart. She would never enjoy the highway travel she once so loved. I was flown to NC, clinging to life. The next several weeks for me were spent in hospital and included brain surgery; Suzy was not so lucky, with major frame damage at the driver’s door her driving days were over.

What happened was not Suzy’s fault. She performed well, I didn’t. My heart skipped a beat and my brain misfired and Suzy was on her own for the first time in her fifteen years. She did what she’s always done, drive on, but without a pilot, she hit a tree, right on the door where I sat unconscious.

Suzy has one hundred and eight thousand miles on her odometer and her drive train is intact. She starts, steers, listens to the radio, and her computer tells her that she has six gallons of gas in her tank. Most of her damage was frame and sheet metal, and we have the pictures to prove it.
