"Meetoo Pete Rose" is a charming male rose breasted cockatoo. Pete is around 10-12 years old or less.These birds can live 60 to 80 years so he is still considered a young bird! He is not banded. Pete plucks a few areas but still has very pretty feathering. He has the most adorable face and loves to have his head scratched....like most cockatoos he craves attention. He does fine sitting out on his stand all day on the days I'm not at work. He can be perfectly content to stay in a room with his human all day or watch you as you work... he doesn't mind the vacuum cleaner and is quite used to barking dogs. He is not gender specific so he'll be good with either men or women. He needs to be in a quieter environment. Pete is easily frightened of the other birds here when they have alarm calls or take occasional flight even though they are clipped. He's been with me for three years now and I feel he would do best as a single bird for a more comfortable life. I care deeply for him...he charms me every day with that cute nod and fluffed out head that says"Come here, I need a head scratch and some love!!" I will be selective as to where he goes....he's worth it. Photos show were taken August of 2009 Cage is not included. I will provide his favorite perches and his collection of toys.
